How do I reserve a book so that it cannot be renewed (place the book on hold)?

If the book is checked out, you can place a Hold on it. This process is sometimes called Recall and sometimes Request. Please see the attached document with screen shots for details on how to do this.

If you have the book already checked out, keep in mind that someone else may place a hold on it that prevents you from renewing it.
