Question about duration of therapy of ketorolac

Most of the clinical references say the duration of therapy of ketorolac is not to exceed 5 consecutive days. When can a patient take a second course of therapy, if ever? Can it be used safely on an as-needed basis if not taken every day? Are there different limits for PO vs IM therapy?

I do not see anything in the literature that mentions time lapse to readministration.
