Cite while you write has completely disappeared from my Word program.

The most common solution is to enable your CWYW add-on in the Options menu in Word. Check out the instructions on how to do so in Endnote's Knowledge Base. You can also try restarting your computer and restarting the program.

If you have done all of these things, you will need to get in touch with EndNote help.
