Is SAS the statistical software program available in the library?

While there are no computers in the HSL with SAS locally installed, the computers in the Health Sciences Library provide access to SAS using the Virtual Lab, http://virtuallab.unc.edu/. To access SAS, click on the Virtual Lab icon on the desktop of the computer in the HSL and navigate to the Statistical Applications folder. Additionally, users can access SAS through vcl.unc.edu. Both services can be accessed by anyone affiliated with UNC on their own computers. For a brief guide on the options available, see our primer on virtual computing.

UNC students, faculty and staff do not have to pay for SAS and can install SAS locally on their computers.
